The short course aimed to show students (with no pattern making background required) to draft their own pattern block bodice to their exact measurements. They can then use this block to create their own patterns in future to make garments that fit them perfectly.
While it was challenging at the start, they did really well & I learnt a thing or two about mathematical measurement taking, following instructions, visualizing a 2D shape to a 3D shape and finding accuracy through toile fittings at the end.
They did a fantastic job and I'm so proud of their efforts!
The next class I'll be teaching at the SMNC will be Textiles! It will have a creche available, Starting 15th Oct, 1-3pm, for 9 weeks for a total cost of only $25!! email seafordmoananc@bigpond.com.au to sign up!
