Opened a shop on Etsy!

Just last night I finally opened my first ever shop with Etsy! With only a humble 12 listings at present, I can't wait to see this baby take off! Just needing a bit more time to make all the things I want to! I'm selling my fashion, jewellery, millinery and fashion illustrations.

At present I'm juggling 3 jobs and studying full time, loving running the Textile's course which has almost finished now, and am very grateful that everything I do/study is related somehow to fashion and art. "Happiness is Gratitude"

NEW STUDIO!

It is with great joy that I can share I now have a studio of my own!
Finally enough space to put my mannequins, fashion illustrations, millinery, jewellery and sewing things in! This has been a long dream of mine but never a possibility until I met Nick and Belle who have allowed this to be possible. I cannot express my gratitude enough and am so happy I could squee!

A big thankyou to all my supporters who have been following my work since 2010, it looks like 2014 is going to be a beautiful year. Here is the studio so far, I keep adding things, it now has a room divider panel for clients to change behind for fittings, and now I just need a standing mirror!

I'm so glad I didn't give up on what I love doing over the years, there were hard times and times where people said I should stop, and the space required which I didn't have was cramping my family's style. But now that hurdle is over and it's onto bigger and better things. Don't ever give up on what you love.

L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival!

Just arrived home from Melbourne and I'm already missing the haute-adrenaline of the L'OREAL MELBOURNE FASHION FESTIVAL!

After winning tickets, flights and accomodation to attend the opening, through a competition by Chambord Liquor, I decided to take none other than my beautiful, strong and inspiring mother along with me on a whirlwind overnight trip to Melbourne to see the "fashion show to end all fashion shows" in Australia. And it was.

L'Oreal had set up a 'beauty station' before the show for guests to be pampered, then everyone was greeted inside with Chambord martinis and a sensational goody bag from Vogue with more treats inside. The show itself was intense and filled with International and Australian designers, presented by David Jones, Vogue and L'Oreal.

I especially loved Camilla, for the bold colours, prints, celebratory sparkle-and-gold accents. Then there was Carla Zampatti, effortless style, timeless silhouettes that make you wish you had a reason to wear such inspirational garments on the daily.

Collette Dinnigan romanticizes you with her lace and classique prints of another era when love meant something different to what it means today. And lastly, in a whole other league, Mary Katrantzou, who really makes you see fashion for what it is, aside from a billion-dollar industry, pure architecture for the body, a canvas which cannot be contained in just one silhouette.

I loved it and those three words will never do the LMFF justice, but I'm so grateful I could witness it and share these images I took with you. I'd love to blog more of these wonderful parades! Enjoy the pics.
