Pattern Making Class

Over the last three weeks at the Seaford Moana Neighborhood Centre  I've been really grateful to have such great students in my class I'm running.
The short course aimed to show students (with no pattern making background required) to draft their own pattern block bodice to their exact measurements. They can then use this block to create their own patterns in future to make garments that fit them perfectly.
While it was challenging at the start, they did really well & I learnt a thing or two about mathematical measurement taking, following instructions, visualizing a 2D shape to a 3D shape and finding accuracy through toile fittings at the end.

They did a fantastic job and I'm so proud of their efforts!

The next class I'll be teaching at the SMNC will be Textiles! It will have a creche available, Starting 15th Oct, 1-3pm, for 9 weeks for a total cost of only $25!! email seafordmoananc@bigpond.com.au to sign up!

Among the Almond Blossoms...

A few weeks back, when the almond blossoms were at their best and already beginning to fall, by chance everything just fell into place with a photographer friend of mine with a lovely make up artist & some beautiful blossom fashion photography was made. I'm not sure why I'm so bewitched by almond blossoms. Maybe because their beauty lasts only a fleeting moment, & we shouldn't take it for granted. They are such wonders. Enjoy.

Thankyou:

In the Bridal Bible!

Wow it feels like a looooong time since I've posted! Uni is keeping me very occupied! Just had to share some exciting news, my friend Natalie Jayne (Hairstylist) has an add in the Winter Bridal Bible and has featured my Goddess Wedding Gown in it, showcasing her gorgeous hair styling! (model isn't bad either ;p).
Book with her today! She made my dead-limp hair have curls which is not an easy feat!
In stores now!
